Ulu Petanu Waterfall is located in the Tegallalang area of ​​Gianyar. Opened just a few years ago, this waterfall has already attracted many visitors. This 15-meter-high waterfall is nestled in the middle of the forest. Its clear, refreshing water can help you relax. The pool isn't just for bathing or swimming; it's also often used for rituals such as "melukat" (holy bathing). From downtown Denpasar, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the waterfall by car or motorcycle. Tirta Empul Temple is a sacred Hindu temple in Manukaya Village, Tampaksiring, Gianyar, Bali, famous for its holy spring water. Founded around 960 AD (Warmadewa Dynasty), this temple is the main site for the melukat (self-purification) ritual in a clear fountain pool. The temple is divided into three main areas: Jaba Pura (front yard), Jaba Tengah (purification pool area), and Jeroan (main area). Its main function is as a place for Balinese Hindus to perform the melukat ritual or self-purification from negative energy, ask for health, and purify the soul. Holy Spring. The name "Tirta Empul" means holy spring that gushes from the ground. In addition to worship, domestic and international tourists are allowed to perform melukat, often wearing traditional clothing/sarongs.
